MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. PEACE PLACE in Milwaukee, WI

History hits home.

We are proud to announce that our MLK Peace Place on Martin Luther King Jr Drive & Ring St. in Milwaukee WI, 53212 broke ground in 2015 with the unveiling of two huge artistic murals that tell stories from Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches - designed by Paul Kelland & Nick Lampert of "ReciproCITY"

We envision a live performance area, WIFI and more outdoor community events activated at this large location!

MLK Peace Place

Garden beds, meaningful murals, an Apple, Pear & Plum tree Orchard, Composting, a Free Little Library and custom-designed wooden benchs are just a few elements you will see at MLK Peace Place currently. Many community organizations, area schools and residents use this flexible green space for events, meetings and gatherings. Recently HeartLove Place a nearby childcare & outreach group has stepped up to become stewardess of the space.

We are serious about our water! We recently were nominated for 'BEST Storm Water Managment System' for our creative installment at The Peace Park and Garden.

Little Library Installations
Along with our partners at GroundworkMKE & TRUE Skool, we have distributed over 12 little libraries throughout Milwaukee & even put one in Chicago!! We have filled them with books, nonperishables and home & body goods for over 5 years and will continue into the future! We also recently inspired & collaborated with the Healing Spaces Initiative in Harambee Neighborhood.
